This tour takes you to the greenest part of all the Emirates, Al Ain the largest city in the Eastern Region, otherwise known as the 'Garden city', situated 120 kms outside of Dubai. It is surrounded by magnificent red sand dunes and overlooked by an impressive mountain range. AL Ain is also popular as the birthplace of His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan AL Nayan.
Your tour begins with a drive through the fascinating and ever changing desert scenery before reaching the Hajar Mountains. In Al Ain, you will visit the museum and the renovated Old Palace of H.H. Sheikh Zayed, the late ruler of Abu Dhabi and the late President of the UAE.
From there we proceed to visit the AL Ain Museum, the biggest of its kind in the country, which was built in 1970. Ancient exhibits of the old city document its history of the past. There are four main departments in the Museum. The first one depicts the history of the people from the days of hunting and fishing, the fourth one includes medals. Among the items the most interesting one is a tiny grain of rice bearing exquisitely carved verses from Holy Quran.
From the Museum we go for Lunch. After a sumptuous Lunch we proceed to the Oasis of Buraimi in Oman territory and relax at the poolside for a while and then proceed with the tour.
We visit the Oasis of Buraimi, situated within the Oman territory, which also offers relaxation and pleasure. Water flowing from the old Falaj canals over the past thousands of years continues still and irrigates the fruit and vegetables farms. Traditional village Life and the rich fertile Landscape have remained unchanged for many years.
We also visit the largest theme park in the region, the famous Al Ain Zoo which houses one of the largest animal collections in the world, an Olympic sized ice rink or experience a wide variety of other recreation facilities.
Afterwards we will visit the Restless Planet dinosaur theme park has taken another giant step forward in its development. The Restless Planet dinosaur-them park allows you to take a step 100 million years back in time. Designed in collaboration with the National History Museum of London, it features the latest in scientific research and state-of-the-art electronics to bring these creatures that time forgot back to life.
